Terminal Learning Objective 1

Upon completion of this module, participants will identify the role they should play as a civilian before, during, and after an active shooter event.

Enabling Objectives

At the conclusion of this module, participants will be able to complete the following:

1.1 Identify and discuss the phases of Disaster Response Psychology and how to limit their impact on potential victims

1.2. Define and identify the typical and atypical active shooter events

1.3. Explain each of the civilian response protocols as they relate to an active shooter event

1.4. Review active shooter policies used in schools and the workplace

 

Terminal Learning Objective2

Upon completion of this module, participants will identify common traits of Active Shooter Events that have formed the basis of Civilian Response during an active shooter event.

Enabling Objectives

At the conclusion of this module, participants will be able to complete the following:

2.1. Identify the importance of learning from past active shooter events to assist in preparing for future events

2.2. Discuss landmark Active Shooter Events and lessons learned by law enforcement

2.3. Identify common traits of 160 domestic active shooter events and lessons that can be applied to citizen response during an actual event

 

Terminal Learning Objective3

Upon completion of this module, participants will identify some additional issues when training civilian response to active shooter events.

Enabling Objectives

At the conclusion of this module, participants will be able to discuss the following:

3.1. The proper response of the Responsibly Armed Citizen during and active shooter event

3.2. Communicating with School Administrators about specific situations that can arise in an ASE

3.3. Special Considerations for those employed by a Medical Facility

3.4 Identify the importance of medical training and the use of simple medical adjuncts to save lives

Cost:  $35 for members and $45 for non-members

(includes breakfast)
